The true condition of the aircraft is unknown. Bidders are strongly cautioned to inspect the aircraft prior to bidding.
The aircraft is a highly modified deHavilland C-8A Buffalo consisting of a new swept, supercritical wing and 4 YE-102 geared, high-bypass-ratio turbofan engines mounted in an “over the wing” installation. Upper surface blowing is used to generate high-lift coefficients to provide low approach speeds and steep approach path angles.

Can you imagine dealing with a fistful of throttles, coming down final at maybe 1.15 Vso, trying to land that sucker short? | | |
