I assisted some in the replacement, but insisted on having the mechanic tighten the terminal nuts!

A real shout-out to Aircraft Accessories of Oklahoma, who went the extra mile to get the order expedited. It arrived here less than 24 hours after I ordered it. That's the second time I've had outstanding service from them. And to my mechanic, Tim Mix of Mix Aircraft Solutions who's been outstanding for many years and put it in the same day it arrived.

I was in a hurry to get it replaced because it quit on my way to meet a biologist/photographer passenger for a volunteer (Lighthawk [lighthawk.org]) conservation flight over the Mt. Rainier National Park, making it necessary to cancel. This is the time of year when the weather here transitions to pretty much solid low overcast, rain, and fog until June or July. We've got a nice stretch going now for at least the next few days, so I wanted to make the flight while the getting is good. We re-scheduled for later this week.
