I have an E.I. tach available for $295, includes UPS shipping anywhere in the lower 48. It comes with the wire harness, extra line filters and mounting screws. The red line is set at 2700 RPM. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Russell

If you have an O-200A continental engine, it does. And I am 99% sure that is what you have.

It should work just fine with an O-200 engine. The extra line filters are there to fine tune it for various magneto brands.

Only thing is I think the C-150 has a redline of 2750, you’ll have to check on that. The digital readout operates fine at any rpm it’s just that the little red dot will start blinking at you when the RPMs go above 2700. I’ve heard that E.I. can adjust the red dot setting and print out a new face with 2750 on it, maybe for a fee?

Although, you could just use a label maker to print out a new 2750 sticker to cover up the existing 2700. That way you would have the proper maximum RPM placarded on the instrument and the blinking red dot would serve as a warning that you’re approaching redline.

If I was doing a lot of high speed flying at maximum RPMs then the blinking red light might bug me enough to let E.I. make the adjustment. But I rarely run my engines that hard, or at least not for any great length of time ;-) so printing out a new placard would probably do the trick for me.

But again, check out your airplane/engine requirements and see if it’ll work for you.

According to the Type Certificate Data Sheet E-252, the Maximum RPM, at Sea Level, for the Continental 0-200-A, -B, & -C is 2750.

According to Type Certificate 3A19, the Engine Limit, for all operations, on all models of the Cessna 150, is also 2750 R.P.M. That limit must also be placarded in the cockpit.

David, I have one in my C-150F and love it. If you want the red line set to 2750 all you need to do is send it to Electronics International and they will check it all out while reprogramming it for you. EI is a wonderful company with great products.

I have a 150-F too. I had my EI tack installed last year. I think it's great. What Eric Said. I think EI needs to know what to set it at. I bought several items from them, and they were really good to work with. Go for it.
