Anybody seen them? They hold the baggage door plastic on for my Skyhawk. They are all metal from what I can tell.

I have seen those!
They used to hold the door panels on 82B's doors.
When I replaced the penels 10 years ago, I ended up using screws because I destroyed those getting them out.
I thought there was a thread about them about a year ago or so.

Yep, most of them are busted, these two are the only survivors.

How many do you need? I bought a box once upon a time. I'm not exactly positive where they are, but I don't throw anything away. I'll make you a good deal on them. Only 4 dollars each! LOL Seriously, let me look for the box. I'll PM you when I find the box.

Gary, I could also use some of those for Mr. Ed, if you find you have an excess...........

Okay, Bill. These are larger than the ones that hold on the door panels. They are not the ones that hold on the tailcone access panel, either.

I'll take a close-up picture and email it to you. These were specifically for the 172 instrument panel. If I have excess, I'll let you know.

Guys, I replaced my tail cone cover a few months back, I had some of those things, what ever they are called, but rather then use them,, I went down to an aviation auto approved parts store and purchased the ones that have a push is snap in the middle. Makes it a snap to take them out,, without damaging the plastic cover,, so check out the aviation approved auto stores ..for some of these do, and you know what,, my new ones don't pop out no more,,

Hi Gary, thanks for the offer! I probably need seven of them... two extra because I'll break the first two! ;-)

The bird is in the shop having a generator problem looked at but I will check the plastic baggage door panel today (its in my Jeep about to get cleaned and repainted). If you find 'em I'll give you a hard count and yes, I am more than happy to pay you for them!
