After flying this airplane for over six years I finally realized something. If I hold the side windows tightly closed, it gets a whole lot quieter in the cockpit. Amazing, huh? So, where would people here recommend buying new weather seals from?
Thanks!,
Home Depot. Grey, CLOSED-CELL self adhesive foam strip, 1/2" wide by 3/8" thick (uncompressed). Same thing Cessna used/uses.
If you park in a closed, locked hangar, always leave the doors open and the windows open, that way the gaskets and seals do not take a crushed set.

Thanks Charles! I was leaning in that direction already. But thought I had better make sure there wasn't some certified seal out there that costed ten times as much!! Sure wouldn't want to install anything on an airplane that wasn't certified!
Hey Bill. I think Cessna designed all of the air leaks into the airplane to allow carbon monoxide and the various noxious odors to escape <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Reminds me of a review I read about the Cessna 150: "Ventilation in the summer is good. Unfortunately, it's equally good in the winter."
Make sure you get the Closed-Cell stuff, it rebounds well and will not asorb moisture and lasts a very long time.

What about door seals or is there anything like that?
Will
The seal that actually wraps around the door side of the window frame and seals the window when closed should be part number S1378-1 (beige), or S1378-2 (cloud grey). I ordered new seals when redoing my plane. I just tried to look up the parts on-line, but it seems they have been supersceded and they dont list a substitute. I'll keep checking.
