Anyone have floor brackets for a child seat? Or can make me a template for one out of cardboard or something?
I could make them easier if I had a template, I have a plasma cutter, etc.
I have them and can make you a template. What's the best way I should make it for you?
That would be great!....You could just trace it Flat on paper I think and just mark where the bend goes, the bolt hole,, and a few dimensions so I can make sure it stays to scale (during scanning/printing). And measure the metal thickness too, I think I can take if from there.
And if you can scan and send it by PM or post it, I would be much obliged!
I may have time either tomorrow or Wed. to do this. I'll get back with you.
Also...are the original brackets steel or aluminum?
They are aluminum I believe, I'm going to the airport today, so I'll trace them on paper.
Awesome man...thanks so much. They are smaller than I expected...I’m on vacation this week, so this is on my list of projects...thanks for all your help!

Is this a GREAT CLUB or what??????
Robert,
We're you successful in making the brackets and installing the seat? I have a seat but need brackets as well.
Freddy
wow awesome. Thanks for doing this!
Material is most likely 2024 T3 like all Cessna Al parts.
Can be ordered from online metals.
Do you have a thickness??
This has to be bent on a radius or it will crack.
Best way to do the bend is bend a piece of .63 (5051) on the bending brake. (this makes a radius finger to bend the 2024 without cracking it)
Leave it on the brake and then make the bend of 90 degrees.
Make your flat pattern a little longer to accommodate the bend.
It will make a nice strong bend.
You cannot use a standard brake without the bent .63 .
Very cool. Any update to getting these parts made up? What thickness material did you go with?
