Any leads on a used spinner for a 150M? Discovered today that mine is cracked. frown

I buried this same request in another thread that I started in the Tech section to see I can fly without the spinner while I seek a replacement. Don't mean to spam but figured I'd place a separate WTB request here in case the other thread gets missed.

Thanks!

Jim

Bumping back to the top. Search so far has yielded nothing. Discovered that the crack was actually due to the front bulkhead wearing through the metal - waiting to hear from K&K Welding and ASEI if they think that there's any chance of repairing mine. Only used one I found was at Texas Air Salvage but they want $500 for a banged up one that has almost as much bulkhead wear as mine that just failed -- not confident that I wouldn't be going down this road again shortly if I went with theirs.

So, I'm still looking and bummed to be grounded until I get this resolved. I'd be grateful for any leads/ideas/etc.

Jim

Jim,

I may have one. Orange. Came off my 150 when I put the Sensenich propeller kit on. It came off an 1973 A150L. Is it the same part number? Sending contact information via PM. I hit the road for a few days starting tomorrow morning.

So this update is way overdue but need to publicly thank Tim. His spinner was indeed the exact part that I needed. Not only was he willing to offer it to me, but he packed it immediately, had it on its way to me via FedEx before my payment even hit the mail, and sold it to me for an unbelievably fair price (he said he applied the club discount). laugh

Thanks to Tim's help, I was back in the air just a week after breaking my old spinner. He knows I'm grateful but I just wanted to give him props here too. Perfect example of how folks in this group look out for each other and what makes this club so great.

Thanks again Tim!

I speak from the experience - the assertions above are understated. When I found an awesome deal on a brand new crankshaft that was practically in his back yard, he picked it up and used his FedEX shipping discount to get it to me in short order. No muss, no fuss. Thanks again Tim!!! I still owe you one. wink That crank has already spun around some 300,000 revolutions. grin
