I had the wheel pants taken off Mary Lou a few years back. 18 pounds may not sound like much, but in my bird (speaking only fo myself), it does make a difference weight wise. It's a trade off.... she's 3 to 5 knots slower without her pants on (get your minds outta the gutter....), but it just means i get lost slower and get to log more flight time.
