Ahem! Here is my opportuning to test my new found knowledge of what wheel pants fit what. Both of these different wheel pants brackets are now on eBay. The
1970 and earlier brackets [
cgi.ebay.com] look like these. The
1974 and later brackets [
cgi.ebay.com] look like these. Now what is missing are the 1971-1973 brackets. They look like the 1970 and earlier brackets but with that notch cut out of the center as seen on the 1974 and later brackets.
So, you can see where just by cutting out that notch, the older brackets can be made to fit the 1971-1973 pants. Or the 1971-1973 brackets will fit all previous pants. The 1974 and newer brackets only fit the 1974 and newer wheel pants.
