The FAA database shows it as a '78 model, but the serial number indicates a 1980 manufacture date, (as I understand the Cessna serial number system - 15280XXXX ).

The "80" after 152 does not indicate the year of manufacturing. My plane is a 1980 model, built in November '79, the serial number is 15284033.
