I'll celebrate its 30th birthday for a better reason....NO MORE PROPERTY TAX ON IT. In Kansas, an aircraft 30 yrs or older is considered antique, and you'll only have to pay a $50 fee per year. The annual property tax on aircraft is approximately 5% of book value, about $1000/yr on a $20K aircraft. mad


Wow. In Oklahoma I paid a one time $630 excise tax and $40 a year registration. I think next year it goes down to like $15 since mine will be 30 years old.
