Ahhh that's a good thought. The plane has been in the family for a while now. I would prefer a '67 actually for the alternator (unless most generators have been converted??). The panel does match the description for a '67 too.

Now....what, if anything, should I worry about so far as engine and all that? I've read there are issues with studs pulling out of the case and all that. I guess that's stuff a mechanic would check? I am mechanically inclined so I'd like to be there for the inspection too. Bowed doors or not, don't care. If I'm picky over 2" of room I'll get on the treadmill.
It might possibly be that "Jeff" knows this plane also?
Again, no hurry either way... I may just make a drive out there this weekend tho. Especially if I can coax a mechanic to meet with me
