No reason at all.
However, it sure makes for a handy trouble-shooting tool and is great to have around. Also, when you head out on a long cross country, it doesn't cost anything, weight wise, to toss it in the baggage compartment and take along as a spare.
I have one that I carry just for that exact same purpose. 'Cept it's from Auto Zone.
