The Chinese Communists.... artificial currency controls vs. the dollar... I don't trust those SOB's as far as I can throw 'em.
Careful, now, Poobs!
Those boys are Communist in name only. Actually, a better definition for the government would be, "
Capitalist Oligarchy". They are embracing the capitalist path with a vengence. And ya' know what? -they aren't going to be held back by any Judeo-Christian ethics. They're gonna' show us Capitalism in it's purest form - winner takes all.
And as for the artificial currency control, if China DID let the exchange rate fluctuate, three things would happen:
First: We, the U.S., in order to keep OUR economy, (and war), afloat, have borrowed hundreds of billions of dollars from the People's Republic, a debt that our grandkids will still be paying off long after all of us buy the farm (the deed to which, by the way, is held by the Chinese

) You can be guarateed that if the dollar starts to gain on the Yuan, the Chinese are going to call in those debts, and we'll default on the loans.
Second: If the yuan starts falling against the dollar. OUR economy will take a head-first dive into a depression. We here in the U.S. have been living well because of the cheap goods coming from China. When the price of those cheap goods start spiraling upward we won't be able to afford our comfortable consumer lifestyle - and WE will become 'poor'!
Third: because there is no Middle Class in the Republic, there would be one helluva revolution as the poor get cut out of EVERYTHING and the rulers get richer. (I suppose some might think this is a
good thing, but it could very well throw the world into another world war.)
Like it or not, the next millenium will probably belong to the Chinese - and THOSE boys don't brook no backtalk from their employees!
If you don't agree with them....
...they shoot ya"!
