His ears really perked up that I was very interested and already had a ferry pilot lined up. I have not heard from him since, however. BTW - it was the Yates Oil Field - named after Ira and Ann Yates - the folks who actually owned the land the well was drilled on. There's a town named Iraan (Pronounced Ira Ann) in West Texas named after these two. Not too far from Fort Stockton.
