Kendel,

That is correct - and you cannot rig just one arm off of the gear transmission on the Cessna electro-mechanical gear and be assured that you have not affected something on the other two. Trying to do so is one of the causes of gear collapses and hang ups on that system. The rigging process starts at the center of the transmission and progressively works outward on all three arms.

Warmest regards,
Rick

Given it's not been rigged in the last seven years, I think a full rigging would be in order before cycling the gear in flight. I've seen the results of a nose gear failure. Even the most gentle of landings still usually results in a death sentence for the poor 310 because of the amount of damage that gets done with the props hitting the ground.

I did purchase the airplane.

P.S. I have had a change of heart and have decided to sell it.
I put it on Barnstormers yesterday.

I don't think it is too big a project. No I did not ferry it, it is still in AZ.
I'm going in another direction that is all.

I'm assuming you've seen the aircraft and if I remember correctly you are an A/P. How much do you think it would take to get it in turn key condition ot including paint. or cosmetics. Just a reliable flying aircraft?

I would say as a guess..... Including the props it would be in $10,000 range.
It needs batteries, tires, a strut leak fixed, a gear rigging and a general going over.
