I had to Google to find out you were talking about the Aeroprackt A22 Foxbat. It's not well known in the US. I don't like its styling much. Now, if you were talking about the Mig Foxbat, that's a different story. grin

A useful load of 580 pounds (420 lbs with full tanks), top speed of 135 mph (120 knots), and a fuel burn of around 4.5 gph.

It is bigger inside than a 150 and flys faster, all on less fuel. It does cost a little more than a 150, but with some sweat equity, you can have something comparable to a $120,000 LSA for half the price.

See this is what I don't understand as to why everyone swoons over the RV12 (or RV's in General)....

The spec's for the LSA Foxbat are more impressive, lifts more weight, can fly doors off, holds more fuel, wider cabin, STOL etc etc.

RV's, in general to me, are becoming like, well... "bum holes"....everybody’s got one blush sure their not a bad looking aircraft, but there not the only good ones out there!!! its almost like its all hype or just cool to be in Van's Air force (a lot of the owners are getting like Bonanza pilots - their precious) - but really, for me, I'd take a T18 over a general RV any day - and again, in the category, the Foxbat is the better A/C over the RV12 hands down

Ok, I'm done..... grin whistle whistle

Ever flown an RV. I had the opportunity. That "RV grin" is not just advertising!

Oh man.... I had the opportunity to fly in an RV-6 I think it was around Christmas, 2004.

It was a pretty cool experience. We covered ground in 15 minutes that takes me durn near a half hour to do. A roll or two... yeah... it was SLAMMIN'!!!! grin

Yep sure have, and I'm not saying it's a bad plane - they indeed fly quite nicely, but personally, I think the T18 generally looks and fly's better, of course, I might be bias as I used to own one, and...I'd still to this day, buy a T18 in preferance to the similarly configured RV - I'd probably even own a Mustang II, or maybe even Glassair before I bought an RV also -

I don't know, maybe its all popy syndrome thing with me, or like I mentioned, everyones got one and maybe its for that reason I'm just not interested - its almost like you're all of a sudden in the cool set if you have one, and that alone for me is good enough reason not to have one laugh

I've taken demo flights at Vans in both the RV-9 and the RV-12. Each time I came back with a big grin. But, they're not cheap. For the price, you can't beat the handling of a 150!

It really is hard to beat the amount of baggage space you have available in the 150/152. I have never had an issue putting anything I need to in the back of my plane. That is certainly something I would miss if I got another plane.
